Thirdly, is to know your role as a leader and in what capacity you will be leading i.e. what are you good at? What support will you need from your team? And how will decisions be made? Finally, facilitate the growth and learning of your team, anticipate and acknowledge the potential challenges you will face and how you will solve them.
The Characteristics Of Success | Time management. Develop a structure for how you will work every day, prioritize your tasks and commit time for you to do what you really love doing, what brings you joy and fulfillment. Morning Meditation and visualisations. I achieve a state of peace and happiness through morning meditations and visualize and set intentions for my day ahead.
Principles I Live By | Creativity – Human beings are creative by nature, so I use music and skateboarding as forms of self-expression. Responsibility – I am the (co)creator of the life I live; therefore, I accept responsibility for the situation I find myself in and where I will be in the future. Resilience – I just never give up until I have reached my goal. When days are dark, I take a break to reflect, relax and allow the light within to shine once again.
Critical Skills I Develop | Coaching myself and others. I know that I can only go so far on my own and can only go as far as my mind can take me, so I believe, understanding myself is critical. And only once I understand myself, can I understand others and support them in accessing their potential to be the best that they can be in the work that we do together.
How I Use My Mind | I always ask myself what, why and how? What am I thinking and feeling? Why do I think this way? Why am I feeling this way? How can I change the way I think or feel? I understand life to be a constant journey of self-discovery and creation.
